Apply for an assessment online in 3 easy steps
Before you can access government-subsidised aged care services for the first time, you need to apply for an assessment. Using the online application is quick and easy and will only take 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
It’s the same form to apply for all types of care and support – including help at home, short-term care, and care in an aged care home.
You can complete the application yourself or on behalf of a family member or friend. If you’d like to set up an ongoing representative, you can also do that here. Copy and paste link into browser.

In behalf of Management & Staff I would like to "compliment" TJ and the CEO David for taking this extra miles appreciating staff by providing food & Drinks, inspirational speech, giving us an appreciation bag full of goodies, these gestures feel and made us the sense of "We are belong" Made us being spoiled, we are very much grateful for the efforts & the thought that counts the most, it made us feel that we are valuable part of this facility. And for that I am complimenting TJ and her whole entire team. Well Done and I'm so delighted.
Any other suggestions
Yes keep surprising us.... 🙂
With extra loads of TLC...….
Thank You for Update
Dear All at Advent care,
Thank you for the Family Update letter. It is lovely to be linked in this way 😊
As mum does not remember the details of her day to share, it is great to see the fun that is occurring .
Thank you all for your care of mum & all residents.
With kind regards, Jeanette
Thank you
To all at AdventCare,
Many, many thanks for the regular newsletter on the situation at AdventCare. We are very grateful for the updates that remind us of the loving care that we know Mum gets from all of you.
We hear the public news on both the Aged Care Royal Commission and the Covid-19 pandemic and this is a daily reminder to all of us of what can so easily go wrong; we are just thankful for your attention to detail and your concern to look after all of AdventCare’s highly vulnerable residents.
We know it’s not easy for our mother, and we are very sure that it is also not easy for the dedicated staff at AdventCare. Please know that she is in our thoughts, and so are you.
Our heart-felt thanks,
Peter, Dave, Andrew and Jamie
Thank you
To Everyone at AdventCare,
Thank you so much for your ongoing support in these difficult times. It is pleasing to see people who really do care.
You have a great team and deserve to be rewarded for all your commitment.
Thank you

To the Manager and all Advent Care Staff
Just wanted to send this email to thank you for all you are doing at Advent Nunawading.
From the beginning you have kept the residences health as no. 1 priority, testing, visitors and closing visits to families before most other nursing homes have.
We as a family are very happy for mum to be in your care.
Please pass on our thanks to all the management and all staff for all you are doing.
I was also very pleased to read the staff you have on site from Monday 27 July are only working at Advent, this is re-assuring for the families.
The zoom bookings have been great and a fantastic way we can all keep in contact with mum. She quite often has most of her family in family groups chatting with her, including her being able to see her great grandchildren as well as her many children and grandchildren.
Thank you again and take care.
Denise Strahan
Thank you
Dear T J, Rebecca, Nalissa (Annie) and Staff,
Thank you for the latest updates and photos. We appreciate all that you are doing during these challenging times.
We know our Mum/Mum-in-law Betty Bienvenu (Room 52) is being well taken care of. Even though it is difficult for her and us not being able to have that close contact we normally would have, we know she is safe and you are all doing your best for her and the other residents. We feel blessed knowing she is in a caring environment and we thank you.
Take care, stay safe and keep well.
God bless.
Warm regards,
Jenny & Philip Baird
I am loving it
I came to AdventCare Whitehorse 4 months ago and I am loving it since the day I came in. I feel as though a big burden has been lifted off my shoulders. I have found all nurses, doctors and office staff to be wonderful caring people. Before I came here I had to go twice into age care centres for a few weeks at Ballarat with broken bones. I felt that I could not stay any longer. I did not like either place and was glad to get home. But now I feel very grateful to be in such a wonderful home like AdventCare Whitehorse. Thank-you.

Resident – Whitehorse

My father has been a resident at AdventCare Whitehorse for 18 months.
From the outset, management and staff were helpful and knowledgeable, smoothly guiding us through admission. I have been deeply appreciative of all staff creating an atmosphere of calm, warm, welcoming inclusion, settling Dad in as he adapted to new routines, new environments, and new people. Dad's life has been enriched with company at meal times in the dining room, and the range of well-organised activities he participates in every week. It has given me great peace of mind to know Dad is cared for by polite, supportive staff. Dad is happy and relaxed and considers himself fortunate to be at AdventCare. I enjoy my visits, knowing Dad is settled, happy and well cared for.

Very happy and comfortable
I have been here for 14 years and I have been very happy and comfortable. The food is good, there are plenty of activities and things to do and the spiritual program is very important to me. My time here has flown.
