As a Lifestyle Assistant you will provide support to the Lifestyle Coordinator at AdventCare Nunawading, a 124–bed facility. As a Lifestyle assistant you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of residents at AdventCare Whitehorse through the planning, coordination, and delivery of meaningful lifestyle and leisure programes.  You will assist in maintaining active and independent lives of our residents through the development and performance of activity plans developed by the Lifestyle Coordinator.

What you bring:

• Certificate III in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure) and/or relevant qualification at Certificate III level
• Previous experience in a similar role in residential aged care setting
• An understanding of the ageing process and caring for older people
• Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Well-developed communication skills

• Conduct one-on-one assessments and regularly review care plans to ensure relevance and responsiveness to changing needs.
• Facilitate group and individual activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social wellbeing.

• Satisfactory completion of a NDIS check

• Covid-19 Vaccination recommended
