AdventCare is a ‘not for profit’ organisation offering aged care that embraces Christian values. We are seeking applications from Hospitality for our Yarra Ranges Facility in Warburton.   Experience in a similar role or environment an advantage, but not essential.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Cook and Food Service Assistant to work with a team of professionals. Residents look forward to a nutritious and delicious meal designed and cooked by our team. The shift hours are 09am-1730PM permanent Part time Monday-Sunday.

We are looking for positive, hard-working catering team members to join our catering team at the AdventCare Aged Care with a strong focus on great service to our residents.

• Contributes to menu planning to meet residents’ needs and preferences
• Preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program (FSA)
• Serve meals in accordance with individual resident needs and preferences
• Maintain kitchen and dining area hygiene as per our Food Safety Plan
• Assist in the monitoring and recording requirements of the FSA for example, recording temperatures, cleaning schedule completion, receival of goods
• Catering to special dietary and nutritional needs of residents
• Reports and assists in the follow up of customer complaints and Tell Us about it Forms for food services
• Interacting with residents and providing person centered care
• Adheres to the duties list of the rostered shift.
• A high standard of personal appearance and conduct is expected of every employee, that is: clean, neat, tidy, punctual, and respectful language and manner toward residents, visitors and to each other.

If you offer

• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Health environment is desirable (6 months)
• Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, and how it relates to your role
• Food Safety/Handlers Certificate
• Enthusiasm and strong self-motivational skills
• Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
